CFS* Financial Advisor John Shubert has earned himself a solid background in banking, insurance and finance over a 15-year career, including five years of investment experience and running his own insurance practice.

“My goal is simple: helping business leaders and individual members pursue higher levels of success by executing a strategic financial plan,” he said, further explaining how he enjoys helping individuals every step of the way—from the accumulation of wealth to what kind of legacy will be left behind.

John’s focus is on providing members with more effective advice so they can focus on day-to-day living.

“I believe that when you are clear about your priorities,” John said, “you will know what to do.

“I’m committed to empowering members by managing their investment potential as well as their risks to help create lasting wealth, so they can focus more on what matters to them.”

As a business leader in Grand Rapids, there’s a lot that matters to John—his family, professional networking through the Forest Hills Business Association and MasterMinds and volunteering with his alma mater Aquinas College.

He’s always looking for new opportunities to meet new people and serve the community, in part from some good advice from his dad: “Always say ‘yes’ to things you haven’t tried, even if you want to say ‘no’. You never know what opportunities will present themselves.”

John is securities licensed in Michigan and holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 63 and 65 licenses, as well as life and health and variable annuities insurance. He holds his MBA from the University of Phoenix.

John will be serving the Cascade, Gaines, Grandville and Breton offices in Grand Rapids.
