With more than five years of lending experience, Ryan Brunner has the knowledge and skills to help people move into their dream homes.

“Eight years ago, I started my career in banking in Alaska,” Ryan explains. “When I moved to Michigan I sought out Consumers, and it’s the only place I applied to work. I am so grateful I was hired.”

Since finding his home at the credit union, Ryan has held a variety of roles that give him a broad range of experience to draw upon.

He first started out in the member service center and moved to consumer lending. Then he completed internships in business services and investment services—all while building a large lending portfolio of home equity and consumer loans.

“Jumping into the mortgage side of things was a natural transition for me, as I truly understand member needs and have the gumption to close deals.”

With Ryan’s background serving members, he prides himself on making sure they have a great experience.

“I always treat members like they’re close family,” he says. “This approach helps me make decisions and find the route that will best suit the member I am working with.

“If someone doesn’t understand the mortgage process, it’s my job to educate them so they can fulfill their goals and dreams.”
